How to prepare a roll "Banket"

Many housewives are already thinking about what is tasty to please guests during the New Year holidays. Our editorial board suggests pampering relatives meatloafprepared according to an Italian recipe. Note that the ingredients contain a large number of dry spices, which can be replaced with fresh herbs!

Our family has been preparing this dish for the winter holidays for many years. I can safely say that thanks to the savory roll, the meat slice looks very elegant.





How to cook meatloaf Ingredients
  • 1kg beef
  • 1 onion
  • 100ml dry white wine
  • 400ml tomato juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g hard cheese
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs made of white bread
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt


Preparation
  1. Cut the onions with half rings and sod the garlic on a fine grater.


  2. In a small container, mix garlic, breadcrumbs, basil, oregano, parsley and salt. Add raw eggs, grated cheese, and stir it again.


  3. After spreading the meat on a wide board, cut it along the fibers. Just don't finish it, or it'll be two pieces, not one. The thickness of meat should not exceed 1 centimeter. Sprinkle the beef.


  4. Place the filling on the meat and distribute it evenly throughout the surface. Do not forget to leave about 2 centimeters free at one end.

  5. Carefully wrap the beef in a roll, trying to keep the filling inside.


  6. Tighten the roll with a culinary thread.


  7. Put the onion in the pan and place the meatloaf on top (sew down). Pour the meat with tomato juice and wine. Wrap the pan with foil and put it in a 180-degree oven. Bake the roll for two hours.


  8. To turn the roll crust red, at the end of the baking remove the foil and cook the dish for another 20 minutes.
