The wisdom of preserving pears in fragrant syrup

The ingredients
  • 1.5–1.8 kg of fresh pears
  • 400–450 g of sugar
  • 1 tsp citric acid
  • 1.2–1.5 liters of water
  • 2-4 pieces of dried clove
  • 0.25 tsp vanillin


Preparation
  1. Fresh pears are mine, we peel off the skin, cut in half and remove the seeds.


  2. Put the pieces of pears in boiling water and blanch them for 2-3 minutes, so that they become slightly soft and better soaked in sugar syrup.
  3. We fill sterile cans with the prepared product, pour them with boiling water and leave them to stand for 5-7 minutes.


  4. Then we drain the water and repeat the previous step.
  5. For the third time, we add sugar, vanillin, clove, citric acid to boiling water. Cook 2-3 minutes and pour this pear syrup.
  6. Quickly close the lids, turn over, warmly wrap and leave to cool.




As you can see, it's very simple. By the way, instead of citric acid, you can take 1.5 tablespoons of lemon juice. Instead of vanillin, add vanilla. For greater fragrance to the syrup can be added pinch.
