Test ingredients
  • 450g flour
  • 5 tsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 110g oil
  • 50g fine sugar
  • 450g apples
  • 2 tbsp milk

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 200 degrees, lubricate the batter with oil and slightly sprinkle it with flour. While the oven is heated, in a convenient container sift flour, baking powder and salt.

  2. Cut the oil in small cubes and add it to the flour.

  3. Rub the butter flour into a crumb. Add the sugar and mix it well.

  4. Peel the apples. Half the apples should be rubbed on a large grater, and the second half should be cut finely. I got a big one here, I need a little bit smaller.

  5. Add the apples to the flour. Stir it well. Gradually add the milk, a tablespoon, kneading the soft dough.

  6. Put the resulting dough on a flour board. Carefully moisten the dough for a couple of minutes, and then roll it into a layer about 1 cm thick.

  7. And now we move on to cutting buns with sharp molds. The mold must necessarily be with sharp edges so that the layers are not damaged, otherwise the scones will not rise well. Please note that the cup is not suitable for this business!

  8. Next, lay out the cones on the pan, lubricating them from above with milk and slightly sprinkling with sugar, preferably light brown. Put the blanks in the heated oven for about 20-25 minutes.

  9. Remove the finished chips from the oven and put them on a plate or grille to cool.

  10. That's it, the English breakfast is ready!
