Recipe for tomatoes with plums in a mysterious marinade

The ingredients

  • 6 peas of black pepper in a jar
  • 1 bay leaf in a jar


Ingredients for marinade
  • 1 litre of water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp 9% vinegar


We're going to need two one-and-a-half cans to roll. They must be previously sterilized in the oven for 10-12 minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees. The can covers can be simply boiled. At the bottom of each jar, we put one bay leaf, a little sweet pepper and black pepper with peas. Also put garlic, about 3 cloves per jar.



Filling banks with tomatoes and plums. For this recipe, it is advisable to take tomatoes called “cream”, and the plums themselves should be dense so that they do not turn into porridge when poured. In each tomato we make with the help of a toothpick several punctures in the area of the peduncle. Fill the jar with tomatoes and plums so that they fit very tightly together.



We fill the banks with boiling water to the top. Cover the lid and leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water. Pour the tomatoes once again with steep boiling water, close the lid again and leave for 10 minutes. We pour water again, but this time we pour it into a measuring glass. We will need water for the marinade: about a liter of water is placed in two banks.



We pour marinade into a deep bowl or pan, add a tablespoon of salt with a slide and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Carefully mix the ingredients and put on the stove to cook 3-4 minutes. Then add one tablespoon of nine percent vinegar to the marinade. Stir the marinade, boil about 1-2 minutes and pour into cans. Fill to the top, so that the marinade completely fills the banks.



Hermetically twist the banks, turn the twists upside down and leave them in this form until completely cooling down. Also, tomatoes with plums must be covered with a blanket until completely cooled.





Such preservation will be well stored all winter at room temperature. When winter comes, you will get a twist and please yourself and your loved ones with an unusual combination of tomatoes with plums.
