Apple crumble with cinnamon

Recently crumble (Crumble) has become a very popular dessert. I was wondering where and under what circumstances it appeared. It turns out that during world war II and the bombing of London by German forces on the fragile shoulders of women in the UK lay down the heavy burden of obligations: care for the wounded, making ammunition, driving trams and so on. Of course, they didn't really have time to "long" yeast dough or fancy cakes. And eggs were in short supply.

But the desire to create a cosiness in the house and took her — and there was an option of simple, affordable and quick dessert: fruit or berries at the bottom, and the top — crumbs of flour, sugar and cold butter.

The war is over, and crumble firmly entrenched in the menu of an ordinary Englishman. Now before we turn came to appreciate this dessert. Crispy Golden crumbs with almonds and a juicy Apple filling. And what flavor! You have no idea!



Well, shall we?

Ingredients (on form 29cm):

Baby

  • 100g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g almond flour(you can just grind the almonds)
  • 1чл cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 100g butter
Filling

  • 1.5 kg of apples (the bowl 2kg)
  • 1чл cinnamon
  • 50g sugar (I'd take 25)
  • 50g butter
Baby.

Mix flour, cinnamon, sugar, almond flour and salt.

Cold butter cut into 5mm cubes, add to flour mixture, knead quickly to form a crumb.

Put into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Filling.

Apples peel and cut into thin slices.

In a saucepan nagrevaem butter, add the apples, keep on heat for 5min, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and cinnamon.

Assembly.

On the bottom of the form put the apples on top of distributed chips. The denser, the better!

Bake for 25 minutes at 180' until Golden brown. Serve preferably warm, but cold, very tasty!
