For the preparation of such buns, it will take no more than 1 hour. Baking made according to this recipe can completely replace the purchased bread.

The ingredients
  • 500–550g wheat flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of water (warm)
  • 1 pack of dry yeast
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1.5 tsp salt

Preparation
  1. At first, I like to prepare the ingredients to make sure everything is in place. If you have all the necessary products, let’s go!

  2. First of all, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Then, in a separate pan, mix the sliced butter, milk, sugar and salt. Bet on a weak fire and bring to a warm state (40-45 ° C), constantly stirring. Combine the resulting mixture with yeast and egg. Then gradually add flour, stirring with a wooden spoon. When the mass is thick enough, lay the dough on a table sprinkled with flour and stir it with your hands. If necessary, sprinkle a little flour and continue kneading for 8-10 minutes. But do not overdo it with flour, otherwise the dough will clog and will not become airy.

  3. After mixing the dough, send it to a bowl and cover it with a food film or towel. We leave him to rest for 1-1.5 hours. After the specified time, take out the dough and divide it into 20-24 identical pieces. We make a long sausage out of each and tie a knot.

  4. After doing this, lift up the right part of the sausage and tuck inside the knot, and the left part - in the center under the bun. Baking, braided this way, turns out to be incredibly cute!

  5. The buns are ready to bake. You just need to cover them with a towel for 10 minutes and give them time to brew. Then you can bake them at 190°C. And to make the finished buns taste even better, grease them with melted butter. But if you're going to bake the buns later, put them in the fridge with the food wrap. The longer the dough there will fit, the more delicious the pastry will turn out. If you wish, you can put them in a bag and put them in the freezer for storage. After reaching, let stand at room temperature and bake in a similar way.

I never thought I could cook semi-finished bread and freeze it. But, having tried this recipe once, I was convinced that such preparations save time. Especially since they taste frozen. scone No worse than freshly baked ones. Success in your culinary achievements and a pleasant appetite!
