Why Herring Likes Guests

Herring has long been one of the main dishes on our table. This fish is not only used as a snack, it is a key ingredient in many favorite dishes. Take even everyone's favorite herring under a fur coat. It is hard to imagine that it should be abandoned. But it's really worth doing. Ask why?

Editorial "Site" It will give you a very convincing answer to that question.

Every year the quality of herring deteriorates. In pursuit of profit, many manufacturers neglect sanitary and hygienic standards. Perhaps, in appearance, you can not say that something is wrong with fish, but it hides a deadly danger to our body. Not so long ago in Germany took for analysis the catch of herring from the Baltic Sea. The results horrified them.

The fish was soaked in a very toxic poison - dioxin. Its norm was exceeded 10 times, which is simply unacceptable for the human body. How many of these parties have not been tested? And they all ended up on the shelves of stores, and then on our desks.

Any fish is a storehouse of useful substances that are necessary for our body. That's just any benefit is crossed out by improper processing or salting, violation of the rules of storage and processing. All this leads to the accumulation of toxins and dangerous bacteria in the fish, which leads to poisoning. Unfortunately, this happens all the time.

Some unscrupulous manufacturers also manage to pass off spoiled fish for fresh. This is done at the expense of special brines, which give the fish a completely marketable appearance. Except it's extremely dangerous. Inside the spoiled herring, microbes that secrete toxins actively multiply. Even a small piece of this herring can cause severe food poisoning.

Another, no less important reason to abandon herring is the high salt content. Excessive consumption of salt is dangerous for our body, and its content in herring is simply off the scale. But that’s not the worst thing...

It’s time to talk about the surprises that can await you when buying herring. The most unpleasant and dangerous surprise worms in herring. Violations of processing technologies very often lead not only to poisoning, but also to infection with parasites, which are very much in various types of fish. For reference, a quarter of sea and river fish are infected with helminths.

With prolonged heat treatment, eggs and larvae of parasites usually die, but such types of processing as smoking or salting can not always lead to the death of worms. Thus, parasites retain their vitality inside the fish and, getting into the human body, begin to actively develop. That's how regular snacks turn into dangerous products.

And the last fact about herring, which is just shocking. Some manufacturers to keep herring longer, add a dangerous preservative - urotropin. It's banned all over the world, but that doesn't stop some dealers, and they just don't list it as part of it. Urotropin itself is not dangerous, but in combination with vinegar, it turns into a deadly poison - formaldehyde.

This substance can cause severe poisoning. What is most interesting is that this combination we get when we cook herring under a fur coat, because mayonnaise contains vinegar. This is how ordinary foods turn into poison.

After that, I will think a few times before buying a herring and making something out of it. Unfortunately, you can not be sure of the quality of this product and use it without fear of poisoning or catching worms. Whether a plate of salad is worth it is up to you, of course. Just be careful and take care of yourself!
