The ingredients
  • 500g chicken liver
  • 350g of onions
  • 150g butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 20g sugar
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • nutmeg


Preparation
  1. Wash your liver thoroughly and get rid of all the films. In order that the pate does not bitter, soak it in milk for about an hour.



  2. Now the liver must be well fried in olive oil. Before sending to the pan, sprinkle the liver with sugar. After frying, salt it well.



  3. Cube the onions and send them to the same pan where the liver was previously fried. It should be placed in a separate container.
  4. After roasting the onion for 5 minutes, add sugar, salt, spices and vinegar to it.
  5. In the container of the blender put the liver, onions and 100 g of butter. Grind all the ingredients thoroughly.



  6. Put the pate in a suitable dish, pour melted butter on top and send it to the refrigerator.
  7. After a day, take the pate out of the refrigerator and serve it on the table. Pate sandwiches can be served with Cornishons or even sour jam.





The recipe can be improved if you like carrots. In this case, it can be rubbed on a large grater and in large quantities added to the roasting. Onions and carrots can be fried in butter for this.





Pate is not the most useful dish in terms of balance of nutrients and fat content, but it is well suited for holidays. Sometimes you can enjoy such a delicious and delicate snack.
