We offer you five mouth-watering recipes for those observing lent. Lenten menu should not be boring!
Rice salad
Ingredients:
100 grams of rice
2 sweet peppers
1 tomato
1 carrot
1 pickled cucumber
1 onion
Boil the rice in salted water.
Slice vegetables, mix with the cooled rice, salt, pepper, add sugar to taste and vinegar.
Pumpkin soup
Ingredients:
150 grams pumpkin
150 grams of carrots
1 stalk celery
1 Cup water
⅓ Cups pumpkin seeds cleaned
2 cloves of garlic
¼ Teaspoon nutmeg
Turmeric
Cleanse and cut the pieces of pumpkin and carrot.
Mix in a blender carrots, pumpkin, water, garlic and spices until smooth.
Spill on plates and decorate with greens.
Pilaf with prunes
Ingredients:
½ Kg of rice
2 bulbs
3 carrots
2 bell peppers

3 tomatoes

Bay leaf

600 – 700ml water
Sauté separately the onions, carrots and peppers.
Cut into strips prunes, grind the garlic.Tomatoes cut into cubes.
Rinse rice and place in aluminum pan.
Add roasted vegetables, tomatoes, garlic, prunes, Bay leaf and spices.
Mix, pour hot water and bring to boil.
Boil on weak fire to readiness.
Potato gratin with mushrooms and eggplant
Ingredients:
400 grams of potatoes
300 grams oyster mushrooms (or any other fresh mushrooms)
Packaging of frozen spinach
2 tablespoons pine nuts
A bunch of parsley
Capers
2 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
Olive oil
A pinch of nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
Wash potatoes and boil in their skins for 20-30 minutes.
Cleanse from the rind, and RUB on a coarse grater.
Rinse the capers, grind parsley and mix with the potatoes and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Cut the spinach 6-8 minutes with salt, pepper, garlic and nutmeg.Procing through a colander and remove the garlic.
Rinse oyster mushrooms, remove the stems and obzharivaya 8-10 minutes.
Brush the pan with oil or deep frying pan and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
