English fish pie and peas from Jamie Oliver

A wonderful recipe easy vegetarian pie from Jamie Oliver.

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1 lemon
  • 40 g butter
  • 400 g of green peas
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 bulbs
  • olive oil
  • 500 ml of milk
  • 2 salmon fillets of 150 g
  • 2 white fish fillet 100 g
  • 60 g flour
  • 100 g of spinach
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 120 g boiled peeled shrimp or krill meat
  • 40 g cheddar cheese
Coarsely chop the potatoes. Simmer in salted water 15 minutes, until tender. Drain and mash, adding a pinch of salt and pepper, lemon zest and butter.

Pour into a colander peas, pour over boiling water and quickly scroll in a food processor. Add mashed potatoes, mix lightly to get a divorce, and set aside.

Chop the carrots and onions. Put on a small fire europroc - ing pan (30 cm in diameter), add a splash of olive oil and roast the vegetables for 15 minutes, stirring. They should be soft, but not browned.

Meanwhile, put on medium heat the milk. When it starts to boil, place a both fish fillets and cook for 10 minutes, until tender. Remove fish with a slotted spoon and re - put on a plate. Remove the milk from heat.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Pour into the pan with the carrots in the flour, one ladle, pour in the milk, stirring continuously. Add the spinach and stir until it soften, then season and put the mustard. Divide the fish into flakes and add to milk mixture along with shrimp (better to pre-thaw and dry), juice of half a lemon and grated cheese; mix gently.

Put on top of mashed potatoes, flatten with a fork making a light pattern, and put in the oven for 30-40 minutes to brown the pie.
