- Put on the fire a pot with ingredients for Tom Yam soup, and while water boils, prepare the remaining components.
- Shrimp clean.
- Onions clean from the husk, cut with a knife. Carrots wash and grate. Tomatoes cut into small slices. Heat a pan, brush with oil. Put first the onion, then carrots, and a few minutes later tomatoes. Fry the vegetables for five to six minutes.
- Add to the pan the shrimp, sauté, squeeze lime juice, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and pepper.
- After 15 minutes, pour in a saucepan the coconut milk, stir and bring Tom Yam soup to a boil.
- Finely chop the washed greens and put in a pan for a couple of minutes until tender.

- Shrimp 400 grams
- Tomatoes 2 pieces medium size
- Onion-1 piece large size
- Mushrooms 300 grams
- Cream (15% fat) 0.5 liter
- The chili paste 2 tablespoons
- Lime 1 piece
- Parsley
- Salt
- Put a pan of plant soup on the fire.
- Thoroughly wash the mushrooms and cut them into cubes with a knife. Add to the pan.
- Onions clean from the husk and finely chop. Tomatoes cut into cubes.
- Shrimp clear from the shell. Add shrimp with vegetables in a boiling soup, chili paste, salt and squeeze lime juice. For 10 minutes reduce heat and cover.
- Pour into a saucepan the cream, stir with a spoon and let the soup boil.
- Finely chop the parsley and add to the pan for a minute until tender.
- Thais do not eat bread, instead they eat all dishes with boiled rice. If you want to get close to use Tom Yam soup to the Thais, together with the first dish, boil 200 grams of rice in barely salted water.
- For Tom Yam soup, do not use wild mushrooms, they are too aromatic and can kill odor delicate fish flavor. Do oyster mushrooms and champignons.
- If you are not a classic Tom Yam soup, and experimenting, then add to the dish more seafood – fish, octopus, mussels, squid.
- Coconut milk can be easily replaced cream of average fat content.
