I forgot what ice cream is, I make a cooling dessert with natural ingredients.

I repeat: in the recipe of this ice cream there are no eggs, milk, or other animal products. Even if you stick to the traditional type of food, you can always experiment and cook something new. Why not start with the original dessert?

The ingredients
  • 170g long-cooked oatmeal
  • 170g cashew
  • 300 ml of vegetable milk
  • 1 bag of instant coffee
  • 50-70g dark chocolate
  • 6-10 dates




Preparation
  1. I recommend starting dessert in the evening. Soak up cashews for the night. This is necessary to rid nuts of phytic acid, which interferes with the assimilation of everything useful that is in cashews. In addition, after soaking, it will be easier to make pasta from nuts.
  2. In the morning, grind cashews with a blender to a porridge-like state. And whole-grain oatmeal is ground in a coffee grinder to make oatmeal. Clean the dates of the bone and add them to the nuts, again beat the whole mass to uniformity. There are no sugars or sweeteners in this recipe. Dates play that role.



  3. In a separate bowl or bowl of blender, if size allows, mix nut paste with dates, oatmeal and vegetable milk. I have soy, but I recommend using nuts. It will make the dessert taste even better. Beat all the ingredients to uniformity, add instant coffee and beat it again.



  4. Grind the chocolate to make a crumb. Then add it to the nut and oatmeal mass. It should be pretty viscous. Stir everything well, then transfer the ice cream into a uniform or container. Cover the top with a food film in contact so that during freezing on the ice cream does not form a crust.



  5. Send dessert to the freezer for a few hours. Then I advise you to put it in cremanca balls with a special spoon. Vegetable ice cream ready!





Advice from the editorial office Oat ice cream is very hearty and dense in its texture. This is due to cashew nuts, which are often used for vegan and raw desserts. Thanks to them, the calorie content of the dish and the amount of fat in it increases. Therefore, for one serving, 1-2 balls of ice cream are enough.

Follow the instructions and do not neglect the preparation steps. For example, I did not cover the ice cream with a film in contact, but simply closed the container with a lid. Because of this, the dessert became crusty. So I had to wait for it to melt.
