Panzanella: exquisite Italian country salad
A traditional Italian panzanella salad
This is a traditional salad of the region of Tuscany, now it is prepared throughout Italy. The main ingredients are vegetables: tomatoes, celery, cucumber, onion and Basil. Every family preparing a salad with a few changes, for example, add olives or carrots.
So, the classic version Panzanella:
Ingredients:
Preparation:
1. Wash vegetables and cut into large chunks, as a vegetable salad. Put in a deep bowl.
2. Bread cut into slices and remove the flesh in the salad, use only the crusts (1cm from the pulp). Cut into pieces approximately 1.5 — 2 cm 1.5-2 cm.
3. In a separate bowl to pour water 500 ml and 100 ml of vinegar. Pieces of bread to put in the prepared vinegar water and leave for a minute.
