Cher — amazing Indian rice pudding

Cher is a traditional Indian sweet pudding of milk and rice, with the addition of nuts, dried fruits and sweet spices. It can be served both warm and cold. I warn you once – to prepare it, you'll need to be patient.





Ingredients

  • Rice – ¼ Cup.
  • Coconut milk – ½ Cup.
  • Milk – 1,5 stack.
  • Coconut shavings – 15 g
  • Almonds – 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind – 3 pieces
  • Raisins – 1 tbsp
  • Cinnamon – 1/5 tsp.
  • Cardamom - 1/2 a pod
 

Prigotovlenii, rinse thoroughly under cold water, give water to drain completely. Connect rice with coconut milk and ½ Cup of whole milk in a saucepan with a thick bottom. On low heat bring to a boil, stirring rice so it does not stick to the bottom and sides of the pan. For this you will need about 40 minutes.

Coconut fry in a pan, it should lightly browned.

Almond kernels, divide in half and peel. From the cardamom and remove the seeds, which mix with ¼ Cup sugar, peeled figs, raisins, and cinnamon.

After the rice has aterials, add the remaining ¼ Cup sugar, coconut, almonds, raisins, cinnamon, dates and 1 Cup of whole milk. Mix.

Simmer for about an hour.

It tastes best chilled, decorate with nuts and dried fruits.
