How to build in the country, so as not to upset the neighbors

Very soon the summer season will begin, and with it my free time will be reduced, because I will have to devote time to planting plants and caring for them.

My husband's grandmother had her own house and a plot near him. Antonina Petrovna has been dead for many years, and it is difficult for her husband’s parents to go there to take care of the house and garden. So we began to rebuild this house with a cozy and cottage.

At first, everything went well and systematically, but a year ago a young family bought a neighboring house. And it started.

The first trouble was when their children tore our apple tree, and then they put up a fence 2.5 meters high. He completely shielded this apple tree, and with it strawberries and a decent number of beds from the sun. It's always shadowy.

And when they put up a fence, they broke the branches of the same apple tree, and this was my favorite "Antonovka". To which my husband was told that they had the right to put up any fence, and what was broken - this happens by accident.

This year they decided to build. And for some reason, we are suffering from this construction again. They do not build themselves, but hired workers who pretend that they do not understand Russian at all, you will not meet the owners there, and in those rare moments when they appear there, we are at work.

Many owners of country houses install fences around their property, focusing only on their own opinion. But such a negligent approach can lead to all sorts of troubles, which sometimes have to be solved only in court, and good relations between neighbors in such cases can be forgotten.

Editorial "Site" I decided to shed light on the question of which fence It is possible to build a house without contradicting the existing legislation and how to interpret the norms, adapting them to the conditions of land plots. Save it, you'll need it!

The most basic parameter when designing on the site is the distance between the house and the fence. However, quite often this issue causes a lot of controversy.

Some builders argue that it is enough to retreat one meter and you can put a fence. From the technical side, this approach can be called correct, but the norms of the distance from the house to the fence are spelled out completely differently.

Distances between objects in private development are regulated by two basic documents. The first of them SNiP. SNiP are building codes and rules that determine the order of planning and describe the procedure for preparing project documentation for private development.

And the second is the legislation on new buildings. It should be understood that the legislative documents regulating the installation of fences, call primarily to be guided by common sense. The parameters and requirements given in the regulations are based on specific factors.

Focusing on the construction of the building on the current norms, you can protect yourself from many problems. Namely, to reduce the likelihood of possible fires, to exclude the occurrence of “land” conflicts with neighbors and do without penalties of technical supervision.

I suggest you familiarize yourself. SNIP requirements. It is these conditions that must be observed when designing the site!

  1. The distance between the house and the fence should be 3 meters.

  2. Any outbuildings, such as a shed for saving garden inventory or a garage, can be installed closer to the fence, with a distance of 1 meter.

  3. If there are poultry houses and outbuildings intended for keeping livestock on the plot, then a distance of at least 4 meters should be maintained from the fence to them. The same distance should be maintained when arranging a greenhouse, especially if it is planned to regularly feed crops with organic fertilizers.

  4. Buildings characterized by increased fire danger, such as a bath, sauna or mini-boiler room, should be placed 5 meters from the fence.

  5. There are restrictions in the presence of trees with spreading crowns on the site. The distance from the outside fence to tall trees should be at least 4 meters.

Of course, there are situations when land plots are so small that their area simply does not allow to comply with all the norms of mutual placement of buildings.

In this case, you can solve the problem by using the services of BTI specialists who know all the subtleties and nuances. Otherwise, in case of conflict issues, lawyers will have to be involved.
