Salad with prune, cheese and corn

On the eve of the New Year holidays, responsible housewives are ready to do anything to feed guests and home original festive dishes. When Olivier and “coat” are included in the holiday list, and the recipe for a Christmas duck is studied to the smallest detail, it is time to diversify the New Year’s table with familiar dishes in festive attire – themed salads, original snacks and solemn desserts.

Prune and cheese salad Ingredients
  • 150g hard cheese
  • 50g prunes
  • 20g walnuts
  • 2-3 teeth. Garlic
  • 150g canned corn
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

Preparation
  1. Sod the cheese on a large grater, prunes washed and cut into thin strips. Mix in a deep bowl.


  2. Pass the garlic through the press or cut with a knife, grind nuts and add to the bowl to the other ingredients.


  3. Add 3 tbsp corn, tuck in mayonnaise, salt to taste and mix thoroughly.


  4. Ready salad put in a container of oblong shape, for example, in the herring.


  5. And now the most interesting is the salad decoration! Lay out a uniform layer of corn (it is better if the grains are large, then the process of decoration will go much faster), decorate with green onion feathers, imitating a corn cob, and quickly serve to the table. Bon appetit!

Personally, I cannot stand prunes, but I cooked a salad: I replaced the hated product with olives, and for satiety I added boiled chicken fillets. I like that you can show imagination without breaking the idea - the cob and remained a cob, but the taste has changed dramatically. In fact, in such an amazing way you can decorate any salad that contains corn or products that go well with it.
