The unusual combination of fish and sweet orange will surely surprise your guests and delight loved ones! To cook this dish is a snap, and it looks gorgeous! Rosemary, garlic in combination with orange will give the salmon a magical flavor.
Salmon in an orange glaze
You will need:
- 4 pieces salmon fillet
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2.5 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
- 5 tablespoons fish broth
- 1.5 tsp. grated orange peel,
- 2/3 Cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.5 tbsp honey
- 1.5 tsp. corn starch
- 2 tsp olive oil
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cooking.
Over medium heat preheat a large skillet with olive oil and fry the salmon pieces on both sides for 3 minutes, sprinkle with pepper and place on a plate.
In a saucepan (or deep skillet) put the chopped garlic, rosemary and sauté for half a minute, then add 1/4 Cup broth and simmer until the mixture slightly thickens. Put the orange zest, pour orange and lemon juice, honey.
In a small bowl mix the remaining 1 tbsp of chicken broth with corn starch, pour in the pan, add salt and pepper to taste, bring the mixture to a boil and then pokipyatit couple of minutes, stirring constantly.
Put in a pot salmon fillets and pour the sauce. Serve immediately!
