This cocktail reduces the risk of atherosclerosis and very good for the heart!

Persimmons are one of our favourite autumn/winter products to use in green smoothies. Persimmon has a unique flavor that is often described as a mixture of Apple, plum and tamarind. Goes well with banana, mango, papaya, Apple, pear, orange and dates. Use for cocktails with persimmons greens with a light and mild flavor, such as lettuce, escarole or baby spinach. Persimmon is a good source of fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants.

One fruit can contain up to 0.6 mg of iron. Regular consumption of persimmon, as suggested by cardiologists, reduces the risk of atherosclerosis and heart attacks, helps with vitamin deficiency and reduced hemoglobin and thus has a fairly low glycemic index, will not increase the level of glucose in the blood.

There are two common types of persimmons, astringent and not astringent. Astringent persimmons are inedible until fully ripe due to the high content of tannins. The astringent persimmon, is usually elongated, the shape more resembles a heart or an acorn. Chocolate persimmon in form more resembles a squished pumpkin and a very sweet taste.
