Lentils – record the content of folic acid and iron. Only 200 grams of the product contains daily values of these nutrients. Like other legumes, lentils contain large amounts of easily digestible vegetable protein, which makes this product a great alternative to meat and dairy products.
Lentils is recommended for metabolic disorders, colitis, gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, diseases of the urogenital and nervous systems and diabetes. It also enhances the immune system, due to the high content of fiber, normalizes the digestive system.
Lentil can be cooked soup. Measure out 300 grams of red lentils in pot and add 3 times more chicken broth. Put in a saucepan with finely chopped onion and 1 clove of garlic, bring to a boil. Then grind in a blender and return to saucepan. Season and add a little bit fried to cracklings of bacon or sausage, chorizo or a dollop of sour cream and a little chopped red chilli.
Salad with lentils. Boil 330 g green lentils with 4 chopped green onion, 2 cloves of garlic, a Pat of butter in the chicken broth, fully covering the lentils.Cool, drain if necessary. Add 1 tbsp of red wine vinegar, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 finely chopped roasted peppers and a handful of crumbled feta cheese (or cheese). Serve with salad rocket.
