3D printer builds 10 homes in China
China has come up with a new solution to the housing problem. In the east of this country in the city of Suzhou, in Shanghai Hi-Tech Industrial Park, there are one-storey houses. They are no different from ordinary houses. There is one difference though: these houses are built with a huge 3D printer.
Houses are created from cement and construction waste, so that they do not harm the environment and are extremely inexpensive for construction. They can hardly be called spacious and spacious, so they are hardly suitable for living. It is better to use them for office space. So far, it is impossible to create only a roof on such a printer, since it is very difficult from a technical point of view.
The set of such equipment includes 4 printers, which are similar in size to the houses that they recreate. Among the equipment are automatic sprays that produce a mixture of cement with various fillers and “build” walls step by step.
Ma Ihe, the president of Winsun, invented this wonder system. He is most proud of the technology of so-called fast-cement, which contributes to the instant hardening of cement material and helps to “print”. 10 single-storeys a day. Of course, this technology is kept secret.
The president of Winsun claims that these printers have everything to produce multi-storey houses, but since China’s building regulations do not yet include a clause on “printed” houses, this is not yet possible. The ruling elite of the Celestial Empire conducts thorough research to ensure the reliability and strength of the modern miracle.
