Autumn delicacy — candied pumpkin
Here and autumn came and with it a lot of different vegetables, including pumpkin! Not going to list all useful properties and vitamins. We all heard it more than once. I offer not only a way of preserving this vegetable, but very tasty and healthy alternative to candy. I, as always, everything is easy with minimal time and labor. Sweet tooth, dig in! It may seem that it is time-consuming no no no ))) it's easy and fast enough. If the pumpkin is easy to clean, it is possible to cope and not to forget after 12 hours.
INGREDIENTS:
2 kg pumpkin or squash
0.5 kg of sugar
1 lemon
1 orange
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Clean the pumpkin/kabachek peeled, cut into slices. Not much thick and long. 5 mm — 10 mm.
Sprinkle them with sugar, toss lemon and orange. They also cut into slices, all with zest. 12 hours left to soak.
Then bring to the boil and again at 12 hours to leave. To boil again. Allow to cool. Then drain the juice (by the way it may be used diluted with water) through the colander and into the dryer.
If there is no drying in the oven at 100-160 degrees. The oven open.
