Citroen introduces new electric car Bluesummer

In a few months, at least in France, a new 100 percent electric car will be available.
This two-door, four-seater electric car, dubbed Bluesummer, was developed by electric systems manufacturer Bolloré Group, but will be built by French carmaker Peugeot Citroën and distributed under the same brand.
The new car has a mass of 1285 kilograms, can reach a maximum speed of 110 km / h and can travel along city roads 200 kilometers on a single charge of a 30-kilowatt lithium-metal-polymer battery.
According to the developer, this battery is able to withstand 3000 cycles of charging / discharging, or about 400,000 km without significant loss of capacity. In addition, this battery can be safely disposed of at the end of its life, thanks to the “absence of toxic components.” The battery is charged through a home wall charger or from any 200-volt output using a cable that goes bundled with the car.
As if to justify the name of the car, the body made of thermoplastic polymer will be covered with blue paint. Thanks to the elevated steel chassis, the Bluesummer can easily drive off-road, and the rear seats can be folded to transport large and oversized loads.
Bluesummer is expected to be produced at PSA Peugeot Citroen’s plant in Rennes, France, starting in September. The company plans to produce 15 cars per day from the production line, a maximum of 3,500 cars per year. Marketing will be carried out by Citroën France. Unfortunately, the availability and pricing of the Bluesummer electric car outside of France is still unknown.
P.S. And remember, just by changing our consumption, we change the world together!
