— Why as bait chose the UAZ? Somehow he is not very associated with electric vehicles.

For the first experiment we chose Oise because of the simplicity of the design, because I didn't want to load the car with all electronics that is possible. Of course, the question arises, how will be implemented to connect a full drive. Quite simply, we set two electric motors. That is all-wheel drive will remain connected. The display or buttons you can select the driving modes. And in the process, we can turn the car into a big computer. All the parameters of motor operation are output to the monitor. For commercial vehicles it will be a small display, and it's even possible to install the monitor on 21 inch. In the same "Tesla", for example, a maximum of 17 inches. There are already ample opportunities for management of various functions, assistance to owner and much more.





— What components are used for the conversion of car into an electric one?

— We maintain tight relationships with the manufacturers of batteries, motors. All components are certified for use on cars. It is necessary to break the psychology of the common man that this is not the homemade kind, not the motor from the washing machine. In Russia and in Ukraine already has several companies that deal with such introduction of electric motors in normal cars. The engines we use Chinese, from trusted and proven manufacturers. However, it is possible to use engines of American, European and Japanese production. The warranty on them is five years. But, as you know, the electric motor, unlike combustion engines, it is very hard to break.

— Where and how to start the process of conversion?

— Now all is quite simple. Have a car, and you just need to set certain parameters — weight, power, planned reserve. And we will pick up the equipment and components you need, based on ready-made solutions into practice. Sometimes, people do not compare the power of the engine and electric motor. The latter does have other options torque characteristics. For example, a compact urban car has enough electric capacity of 20 kW. Traveled, it seemed a little — no problem. Arrived, we changed to a more powerful engine with a small surcharge. It should be understood that in this case will lose the autonomy, that is, the reserve. The main principle of selection of components and their implementation in the car — possibility of modular replacement. Want more power take out old motor, put new. Need more autonomy — add batteries. Nothing new, we're actually not invented.

— And what happens with heating and ventilation?

— The a / C compressor or power steering pump output belts, that is, these units will function the same way as with a conventional engine. Hydraulics and brake system, we do not touch, but the a / C compressor can be moved for ease of installation. — Yes, but space for installation enough. The first is the space after the removal of the fuel tank. Some part of the batteries housed in the engine compartment. — And how to officially register a converted electric car?

Certification is, of course, the most difficult and sensitive issue for us. We undertake all assistance in this matter. As this piece production, it is necessary to certify only alteration. The components themselves are all certified by the EU. If certification bodies are valid claims, then we are all ready to fix. But in fact, components, and so have all the most stringent certifications. We do not use lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries, which are very flammable. The principle of combustion based on the chemical reaction, and to extinguish them almost impossible. So we use lithium-iron-phosphate battery — the warranty on them 2000 cycles of charge-discharge, if to be charged every day, this will last for almost 6 years. What happens after warranty? The battery will lose 20% of its capacity. And by the end of its service life will have a new type of battery — cheaper and larger capacity.

— Well, the main question — how much fun to turn my car with the engine in the car?

— Who are your clients?

— Potential customers can be divided into several categories. There are fans who are ready to change to an electric car. A lot of them. About half of the investigators says, "You show me the finished car, I will come look, and immediately bought!". And one of the clients wants not only to see the finished car but to drive it, understand the benefits and buy. Unfortunately, in the near future we can do a car only under the order. Maybe someday there will be finished cars, but then you need to be done on the assessment of the market, figure out what model will be in demand. This is also not wrong.

Initially, we focused on the new machine, but then I realized that it was a mistake. Why do we need new? You can focus on those who already have the car, but he for some reason wants to change to an electric car. But for this we need to sell the old and the new is quite expensive. And we can turn your existing car into electric. So this market is huge. In addition, we are open for cooperation with other STO, dealer stations and are ready to share the experience, technologies, components.
