Unfortunately, sometimes older people are poorly oriented not only in space but also in their memories. Gene Makes (Jean Makesh) — Director of the medical center "Light" for people suffering from Alzheimer's, in Ohio, USA invented an ingenious project that helped his patients to feel at home in the place and, most importantly, time.

The website invites you to stroll along one unusual and very optimistic, "street", which not dare to call the hospital.

The design is made so that the hospital as much as possible like a town 30-40-ies of the last century, which just rose a grandparents. Instead of houses each of them has its own "house".







Underfoot a carpet of "grass", head over to a true "sky" that fades with the nightfall. This is done to maintain the biological rhythms of the locals.







During the day from the speakers sounds the music of nature and sprayed the aromas of mint and citrus. Some studies have shown that aromatherapy has a positive effect on the condition of patients with Alzheimer's.







There's even a main street where patients can gather and socialize in an informal setting.







And here are the bedrooms of the elderly residents, clean and comfortable.
