Total 2 cups sweet drink per day during the month of launching the process of obesity

Results of the experiment conducted by the staff of the University of Bristol and the University of Bangor (Wales) show: people who are overweight and obese decreased taste sensitivity to the sugar content in soft drinks. Consequently, they subconsciously seek more sweet foods to replenish its reserves in the body. So the vicious circle is supported by the acquisition of calories.

To start this unhealthy mechanism should be not too much - just a couple of glasses of sweet drink per day, every day for a month. It accepted that bring harm to the body only sweetened carbonated drinks. However, it turned out that fruit drinks and juices are ready to compete with them.

The study involved obese and lean volunteers, who were asked to classify the degree of sweetness and salinity of food and drinks, while appreciating the pleasure of them. It turned out that the same drinks seemed overweight people less sweet than their perceived slender subjects. Further testing demonstrated: overweight invariably "demands" sweet food, otherwise craving for it is not fixed.

According to Dr. Hans-Peter Kubis, suggests the only correct conclusion: people are overweight reduced sensitivity to sugar and fill the missing stocks they attempt due to excessive consumption of sweets. The role of the subconscious in the food choice - a huge, largely it is "guilty" in the overweight. This is confirmed by the results of another experiment, participants were volunteers of normal weight.

For four weeks they drank several servings daily of various sugary drinks. Such a short period of time was enough for sensitivity to the content of sugar in the drink down, and at the same time - the joy of quenching thirst. And this is the first step in the "pursuit" of obesity, says Dr. Kubis.
