“In a few weeks Ukraine will celebrate Easter. What does that mean? And this means that hundreds, thousands of boxes of waders, eggs, dumplings, sausages and sweets will go to the front. Please do not waste your time and money!
In 2022, on Easter, we were based near Zaporozhye. I remember very well how many parcels we received by mail, volunteers or just acquaintances. There were about 30 huge boxes. We distributed them to other units, gave them to refugees, distributed them to people, passing through checkpoints.
But every time we treated someone, we were treated in return. Because it turned out that all those boxes had an unreal number, and no one knew where to put them. The parcels were all carried and carried. And it turned out that our 30 boxes did not decrease!
And where to store so many products (boilers, Easter eggs, sausages), when the refrigerator if there is one? After 2-3 days, these boxes became a big problem. Everything started to deteriorate quickly.
What am I talking about? Dear volunteers, if you give food to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, make sure that it is really needed. We're not starving. Yes, we want delicious and homely, but not in such quantities.
Ask the military, maybe the money you spend on cooking goodies, will be more effective to transfer to the unit or just donate to various funds or animal shelters. For “throwing away” your efforts, time and money is not very desirable, and physically eat it is simply impossible!

The fact is that the celebration of Easter is usually accompanied by lush feasts. People fast and then want to eat from the heart. The hostess prepares a huge variety of treats. Families are often unable to eat all of this. As a result, everyone buys each other something. But the lion’s share of food, one way or another, is in the trash.
