How to cook lavash at home

You can quickly cook lavash at home at any time. You will not need any special equipment for this. Just the ingredients for the dough and a good pan.

Cooking lavash Ingredients
  • 180g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 100ml boiling water


Preparation
  1. Prepare a deep container in which it will be convenient to mix the dough.


  2. Ask for flour, add salt, stir. Then pour the oil in the depression in the flour and, constantly interfering with a spoon, pour a steep boiling water.


  3. With the help of a spatula, start mixing the dough, and then continue with your hands. When you knead it, put it in a bag and let it rest for 30 minutes.


  4. After "rest" roll the dough into sausage and cut into several identical pieces. Break them into balls and roll them as thinly as you can. You should make pancakes with a diameter of about 30 cm.


  5. Roast pancakes in a dry pan on both sides. It takes less than a minute for each side. It is not necessary to dry lavash, because the dough is already very thin.


  6. Use instead of bread or as an ingredient in other dishes.
