Last year, Cruffin didn't work, but I found a new recipe, tried it, now I'll bake it like that.

Craffin is a cross between a croissant and a muffin. The first cruffin hails from Melbourne, first made by Kate Reed in 2013. Since then, cruffin has become popular all over the world, and now often on Easter cruffin is baked Easter instead of the usual cakes.

Such a replacement became possible due to a similar elongated form of baking. But, unlike Easter cake, cruffin is made from puff dough, with raisins and dried fruits. And sometimes cruffin is baked with filling of caramel, nut oil, strawberry and milk cream.

Craffin Easter Craffin, like the Easter cake, is cooked on a yeast dough. The structure of Craffin is more airy and gentle, and Easter Craffin is prepared no more difficult than the kulich. Craffin is a dessert that does not have to be cooked only for Easter, but the pastries are so elegant that many housewives prefer this delicious bread.

The ingredients
  • 80 ml of warm milk
  • 18g raw yeast
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 350g flour
  • 140g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange peel
  • 100g raisins
  • 50g almond petals
  • pinch

Preparation
  1. Mix warm milk with yeast and 1 tbsp of sugar. Add 2 tbsp of flour and put the opar for 10 minutes under the kitchen towel in a warm place.
  2. Mix 1 egg and 2 yolk in a bowl, add 2 tbsp orange juice, 100g sugar and 40g melted butter. Add the orange peel and a pinch of salt. Stir everything to uniformity.

  3. Add to the egg mixture opar and sifted flour. Stir the dough with a spatula and mix the elastic dough with your hands. Leave the dough for 40 minutes in a warm place under the kitchen towel.
  4. Raisins wash and pour boiling water, after 10 minutes drain excess liquid.
  5. The dough was divided into 2 parts, then roll 1 part into a thin layer and lubricate 50 g of butter. Sprinkle the dough with almond petals and raisins. Roll the blank into a roulette and make the same blank from the second piece of dough.

  6. Put the roll on the second blank and wrap it in the dough. Cut this roll with a sharp knife along the middle and form a cruffin.
  7. Put the cruffin in a baking mold lubricated with butter. Let Craffin stand for another 20 minutes under the kitchen towel.

  8. Now send the cruffin to the 200-degree oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, lower the baking temperature to 170 degrees and baking cruffin for 40 minutes. Done.

When the craffin cools down, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar or prepare a cream for decoration at your discretion. Watching the hostess deftly manage the test is a pleasure. I wish every woman was as tidy and skillful. Preparing bread, especially for the holiday of Bright Easter, is a tradition that requires pure thoughts and sincere prayer. Whatever the kulich is, it must be consecrated in the temple. By the way, Ukrainian molfars believe that if you sanctify kulich in the church on Easter more than 5 times, then this bread protects everyone who will carry such a piece of cake in his pocket from evil spirits.
