Quick pickled cucumbers Ingredients
- 7-10 cucumbers
- 1 carrot
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 5-6 peas of black pepper
- fennel
- currant leaves and horseradish
- 1.5-liter jar
Ingredients for marinade
- 0.75 l of boiling water
- 1.5 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 85 ml 9% vinegar
Preparation
- Soak the cucumbers for 1-2 hours in cold water.
- Cut the cucumber tips. Cut the carrots in long slices.
- Before closing the jar with cucumbers, it and the lid must be sterilized to destroy the bacteria that provoke spoilage and rot. Latherson recommends using a microwave.
- Let the can cool down a little. Put on its bottom slices of carrots, sliced garlic, bay leaf, pepper, dill stems, currant leaves and horseradish.
- Fill everything with a spoon, fill the empty space with prepared cucumbers.
- Pour the jar to the brim with hot water. Let her stand for 10 minutes.
- Pour the liquid from the jar into the pan, bring it to a boil again. Add salt and sugar, stir. Pour the vinegar, bring it to a boil again. The proportions of salt and sugar can be adjusted to your taste.
- Pour a jar of cucumbers with boiling marinade. Close it with a sterile lid.
