Why experienced housewives freeze potatoes before frying

At home, fries can be prepared in large quantities, the main thing is to prepare it correctly. Peel the potatoes, cut them with straw and let them lie in cold water for 10 minutes. This will make extra starch, and the less starch, the better. Then the potatoes should be dried on a kitchen towel.



Sprinkle the french fries in the wheat flour, don't let the flour fall into a lump. Place the potatoes in one layer on a cutting board or tray and send them to the freezer. After a couple of hours, transfer the frozen fries to sealed vacuum bags or food containers. Stored french fries in sealed packaging in the freezer for up to 6 months, do not forget to specify the date of freezing. Potatoes should be frozen portionwise, as repeated freezing is undesirable.



Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces. Then roast until the root vegetable is ready, as usual. Before freezing, the potatoes should be completely cooled. If this is not done, ice will form in the container. After the potato cools, wet it with a paper towel to remove excess fat, and portioned in sealed containers. For storage in the freezer, dense foil, vacuum bags, food containers are suitable.



For freezing, potatoes with any defects or traces of pests are not suitable. Clean the tubers and cut them in half if necessary. Boil water in a pot, blanche the potatoes for 5 minutes. Then put it in cold water. After cooling, dry on a kitchen towel and package in packages. Send the potatoes to the freezer. Raw potatoes are stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.



The mashed potato is prepared as usual. Do not forget that varieties with pink peels are suitable. You can add butter to the puree. Then it must be completely cooled and decomposed portionly into containers.



There is no need to thaw frozen potatoes. Free is placed immediately in boiling oil, raw is thrown into the broth, and the puree is immediately heated in a pan or in a microwave.
