How to make strawberry candy

Choose a strawberry dense, without flaws, preferably one size. If you buy berries in the market, pay attention to the color and aroma. Do not choose a perfectly glossy berry. Such strawberries have been precisely processed and contain many harmful substances. Berries should be dry, have a natural color and appearance. The leaves on the tail should be green and fleshy.





The ingredients
  • 1.5kg strawberries
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 200 ml of water


Preparation
  1. The strawberries have their tails removed and thoroughly wash the berries. Put them on the towel, let them dry a little.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the syrup. Dissolve the sugar in water and bring it to a boil.
  3. Clean and dry berries pour hot syrup. Let it cool down completely, then strain it through the coop.
  4. Syrup and all that glass from the berries, bring to a boil again. Throw the berries in the boiling syrup and turn it off immediately. Leave it to cool and strain again.



  5. Repeat the manipulation 7 times.
  6. Leave strawberries in syrup for at least 3 hours. Then take out the berries and leave to drain for 4 hours.
  7. Put the berries on a pot lined with parchment or cutting board. In this form of sushi, they are in the sun (not under direct rays) or in a dry ventilated place for 4-5 days.



  8. You can speed up the process by drying the berries in the dryer or oven, preferably with convection, at a temperature of 50-80 degrees. So candy will be ready in 10-15 hours.
  9. Finished candied fruit is put in a dry tray, shifting each layer with parchment and sprinkling powdered sugar. Keep it in a dry, well-ventilated place. If you do not have a suitable place, store sweets in small portions in the freezer. Bon appetit!
