A cozy house with a terrace is the dream of many urban residents. But among those who have already moved outside the city closer to nature, there is no consensus on what to do with this terrace. Some people believe that the terrace should be closed. Others are convinced that this should not be done under any circumstances. Who's right?
Why do you even need a terrace? This is an open room in the form of an extension, where it is especially pleasant to spend time in any weather. You can sit with family and guests. Here you can arrange feasts or simply drink tea. Just sit and admire nature, in fact, without leaving home. You can even hang a hammock and enjoy it.

Why glaz the terrace? Supporters of closed terraces are sure that glazing is necessary, because how else to protect yourself from bad weather (rainfall, snowfall or strong wind)? Sometimes even the bright sun interferes too much.
Some are annoyed by the draft, and therefore they decide to glaze the terrace to make this place more cozy. Someone is thus saved from rushing from different sides of the dust. And in such situations, really fence off seems a more acceptable option.

As it seems to me, the terrace is built to be able to be outdoors in any weather. For our family, the terrace is the main place where we spend all summer, writes Evgeny.
“Some would suggest glazing and sliding windows, but that would turn the terrace into just another room. And sitting in the summer only under the roof is much more pleasant than sitting in a room even with the windows open. And if you open them, you get a draft, you close them, you end up in a greenhouse.

“Our neighbors have decided theirs.
glaze. Over time, they began to use it to store some junk. And for rest a little further built an open arbor. I don't think it was worth it. Only less light enters the house.”
“As far as the whims of nature are concerned, there are no particular problems. If everything is properly designed, neither rain nor wind is terrible. In winter, there are no snowstorms. With heavy snowfall can fly up to 5 centimeters of snow. All it takes to clean this case is a shovel and five minutes of time. But in winter you can drink hot tea and admire the snowflakes flying a few meters away from us, the man assured.

There are those who glaze the terrace to protect themselves from the ubiquitous mosquitoes. But with these and other annoying insects sometimes in the city apartment on the top floor you can encounter. And therefore, in a private house, you have to fight with different methods: use protective sprays, light special spirals or try folk remedies.

Of course, each homeowner camp has its own arguments, beliefs, and preferences. Therefore, some enjoy the open terraces, not imagining how to live differently. And others glaze, install blinds, put cunning roll curtains or come up with other ways to reliably fence off from nature.
