Crunchy cakes versare without yeast for lazy hostess

The working week is finally coming to an end. And on the weekend I would like to treat loved ones with homemade pastries. Appreciate a recipe for Friday evening, which will not take you much time, but will definitely impress even the most demanding gourmets. Yeastless cakes with vegetable filling are exactly what you need!

As a filling, you can use both fresh and sauerkraut. The recipe for this test is suitable for both sweet and salty filling. The cakes are very tender, and the shell of the dough is barely felt on the tongue.

Yeastless cakes Ingredients for the test
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 0.5 tb (125 ml) of whey (or water)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 0.5 tbsp (125 ml) of vegetable oil
  • 2 pinches of salt

Filling ingredients
  • 650g cabbage
  • 1 bulb
  • 1 carrot
  • bundle of green onions (optional)
  • salt and pepper

Preparation
  1. Dissolve serum salt. By the way, whey is a very undervalued product. It is in it in the manufacture of cottage cheese from milk that most of the calcium remains. Acid whey also contains up to 20% of proteins and almost all B vitamins.
  2. Make a depression in flour and pour serum and vegetable oil into it. Stir with a fork.

  3. Put the mixture on the table and mix a homogeneous dough. There is no need to add flour, since there is enough oil in the dough and it does not stick.
  4. Wrap the dough in film and leave it to lie down while the filling is ready.

  5. Cut the bow finely. Grate carrots on a large grater.
  6. Spray the cabbage. If you have sauerkraut and it's cut too big, you can grind it too.

  7. Heat the oil in the pan and roast it for 1-2 minutes sliced onions.
  8. Add the carrots and roast everything together for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Put the cabbage in there. Let the cabbage roast a little, then reduce the gas and carcasses, stirring, until ready. At the very end, add salt, pepper and green onions.

  10. Divide the dough into 15-16 equal parts.
  11. Roll each piece into a thin oval.
  12. Put a spoonful of filling, cover it with a dough on top and side. Roll the envelope. Repeat this procedure with all the pieces of the test.

  13. Put the envelopes on a pan covered with baking paper.
  14. Grease the cakes with yolk. Send the bowl to the oven, heated to 200 degrees, for about 20 minutes.

  15. That's it, soft and appetizing yeastless cakes are ready.

  16. Bon appetit!

I have such cakes that I can’t cook. Made with cabbage, rice, egg and onions. And sweet apples. They're all delicious!
