Medovic "Maizish", which was baked by my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of my Austrian husband

Dance – this is how homemade pastries were once called in Austria-Hungary. The empire is long gone, but a funny word remains. What is this mysterious pastry? In fact, it's simple and honeyman Or rather, a variety of it. There's also a name, "Maizish." I think that sounds very exotic.

Editorial "Site" I love folklore and authentic things. That's the recipe. We offer to prepare Maizish with us. It is easy, fun and unusual because unusual ingredients are used. Like a babe.

Lightweight honey Ingredients for crusts
  • 200 ml of honey (it must be melted)
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 200g babe
  • 500-600g flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 4 eggs (separately beat yolks and proteins)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa

Cream ingredients
  • 200g whipped sour cream
  • sugar
  • peel 1 lemon

Light honey and how to prepare it
  1. Mix all the ingredients together except flour and cocoa. Honey must be melted and be sure to beat the eggs, separately yolks and proteins. The resulting mass was distributed equally in two half-liter cans.

  2. Now add in one can of cocoa and 250 g of flour, in another add the remaining flour. Form two crusts. They have to be baked in the oven. This will take about half an hour, the temperature in the oven is 170 degrees Celsius.

  3. Cut the cakes in half so you can make four. One of them, dark, will have to be crumbled. Put cream on the cakes in turn, stack in layers, and then sprinkle with crumb. Done!

From the editorial office, this dance can be completely without sugar. If you don't love too much tastefulYou can give it up altogether. Or add as much as you think you will. And then leave a review – did you succeed? How's your taste?

Light mead It can become an excellent alternative to purchased pastries, and the lard, perhaps, in this regard is more profitable than the incomprehensible origin of margarine. Try it! It is worth looking at this interesting recipe for honey in vegetable oil, it also turns out to be very tasty. Bon appetit!
