"Yandex" told how to make the anti-piracy law was not sabotage
“Yandex” has been called anti-piracy law as “the law on arbitrary blocking of websites” and, of course, wants it made really a law that protects the rights of copyright holders, and not “protects movies from the Internet.” Company in his blog has presented a list of measures that would help legislators to improve it.
In the blog “Yandex” reported that against the adoption of the law in its current form were protesting quite a lot of users on the Network, as it does not solve any problems, but undermine the normal functioning of the Russian sites. The company drew attention to the fact that the law already planned additions that will make it even worse.
How to make anti-piracy law was not sabotage:
1. Lock resources is unreasonable and excessive measure. If it can be applied only in extreme cases, as an exceptional measure and only when it will not affect the conscientious resources.
2. The copyright holder requests to remove particular content you want to include the full address of the page, where is the content. To date, the procedure allows specifying the IP address of the site that will not allow you to take action, even a bona fide intermediary.
3.The law should provide for interaction of information intermediary and the copyright holder. Now the content you want to remove one application of the owner, nobody knows how competent he is or not. And even if then found that the application of the right holder was false, the information broker will still be deprived of the opportunity to unlock content or page. The law simply is no such procedure.
