Antarctica — the most inhospitable continent our overpopulated planet: sub-zero temperatures down to -60 Celsius, the night that lasts six months, the strongest winds on the planet that reach a speed of 300 km/h.
But today, many objects that were built by the researchers, located in a derelict state — the ice continent flooded remains of human dwellings.

In 1958, Soviet scientists made a research station in the heart of the continent, near the South pole.

On Deception island (deception) is an abandoned fishing base American private company. In 20-ies of the last century Chilean and Norwegian ships are actively selling their catch, which after all went to the United States.



Disbanded base of allies
In 1939 Antarctic service made its base on the island of Stonington, where in a year they were joined by the British and built their research and military base.
British army in the early nineties tried to tear down the entire base, but the case never reached – base itself is falling apart under the action of natural forces.
