Pores worry women more than wrinkles

Modern women are so concerned about the size of their pores that this phenomenon even gave its own name – porexia. American sociologists interviewed thousands of women and found that almost half consider their pores too large. They are willing to make any sacrifices to reduce them:

  • 23% of respondents agree to give up alcohol for a year
  • 17% are ready to forget about social networks
  • 11% would not even shave their legs.
A third of women hate their pores even more than wrinkles. This means that porexia is beginning to become widespread, and now has become a subject for study not only by dermatologists, but also by psychologists.
The latter determined that such concern with the condition of pores is formed at a young age: 21% of respondents began to pay attention to the size of pores in 15-20 years.
Due to dissatisfaction with their own pores, 10% of women do not take selfies, and 19% process such photos with retouch programs.
