Japanese cars will ride on hydrogen from Russia
The construction of the plant for the production of eco-fuel will be conducted by RusHydro in cooperation with the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
The plant in the Magadan region will appear in 2019. The liquefied hydrogen produced here will be transported to Japan. It will create hydrogen fuel cells for cars and motorcycles.
It is assumed that the capacity of the plant will be more than 11 tons of hydrogen per day. The industrial complex with a capacity of 200 tons of hydrogen per day should be put into operation in 2026.
The authorities of Magadan proposed two possible locations for production – a former oil storage facility near the commercial port and a site near Marchekanskaya Street near the fish port.
