A small house in a small apartment

"In our age of consumerism there is something calming and soothing in the absence of plenty of things around," says Clare cousins from Melbourne Studio Clare Cousins Architects. Her firm had recently carried out alterations to the apartment the couple expecting a baby. In connection with the completion, they needed to organize an additional private space in a relatively small area. The designers approached the task creatively, and competently managed plan available square footage, by getting rid of excessive and unnecessary elements. As a result, one bedroom in apartment there were two small bedrooms and workspaces, built-in cabinets and shelves for books. To perform this work used the plywood from the Australian pine, an inexpensive and cozy eco-friendly material.
