Vegetarian Patties of Chickpeas
Vegetarian patties of chickpeas I've done so many times that, perhaps, can easily repeat them with closed eyes. Each time, they were really great and combined with broccoli and carrots and a bit of roasted sunflower seeds, and roasted peppers, or simply with country herbs. Preparing the chickpeas much longer than usual for us beans, so I leave it soaked in water most often for two days or at least 24 hours. This reduces cooking time, and the chickpeas become more tender in texture.
Vegetarian Patties of Chickpeas 1 1/2 Cup chickpeas (pre-soaked in water for 24-48 hours) 1 onion 3 sweet peppers 2 cloves of garlic a bunch of parsley, cilantro and dill 2 tbsp. tablespoons of oat or chickpea flour Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper to taste to Boil in boiling water and pre-soaked chickpeas for 40-60 minutes. Cool. Chop the onion, pepper and garlic. Fry on a heated pan for a few minutes. Collect in a bowl combine boiled chickpeas, vegetables, chopped herbs, flour, and salt and pepper. Grind for a minute. To form small patties. Fry both sides in coconut or ghee on medium heat until Golden brown. We are like best combined with vegetable salads, hot or cold.
