Beet burgers with cheese and nuts

Original, useful and tasty cakes. Can cook them with cheese, and without it, given that you should adjust the amount of dairy products in our diet. It all depends on how much you use milk protein in their overall diet. It is believed that for optimal health the amount of milk protein in a vegetarian diet should be no more than 5-7% of the total protein.

 





Ingredients (10-12небольших cutlets):

  • 400 g of beet
  • 3-4 tbsp semolina or oatmeal
  • 1-2 tbsp. l. mixture of spices
  • ¼ Tsp black pepper
  • 3-4 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 100 g Adyghe cheese or paneer
  • a pinch of asafetida
  • 3 tbsp of breadcrumbs or flour
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste
 

Preparation:

Option 1

1. Boil the beets, cool and peel.

2. Chop beets in food processor or grate on a coarse grater.

3. Add semolina, or oatmeal, mix well and leave for 10-15 minutes to semolina swollen. Alternatively, spread the beets with semolina in a pan and heat until thick (5-10 minutes).

4. Add nuts, spices, salt and mix.

5. Well mash the cheese, add black pepper, asafoetida and roll it into small balls or "sausages".

6. Form a Patty, wrapping the cheese inside.

7. Zapaniruyte in breadcrumbs or chickpea flour.

8. Sauté or bake with two sides until a light crust.





Option 2

1. Grate raw beets and boil in a little water until tender.

2. When beetroot is cooked, drain almost all the water, leaving a little at the bottom.

3. Add semolina, stir and leave to cool. Then cook as in previous recipe. If you want, in this embodiment, the beets can add 150-200 g of curd.
