Non-trivial stew of cabbage with cream and eggs

INGREDIENTS

  • half medium head of cabbage

  • 4 medium potatoes

  • 2 medium onions

  • 1 small bunch of dill

  • 4-6 eggs

  • 300 ml cream with a fat content of 20-35%

  • butter

  • salt, freshly ground black pepper





METHOD OF PREPARATION

 

1. Shred the cabbage as thin as possible, removing the stalks and hard pieces from the base of a cabbage leaf. Too long a straw cut in half. Salt the cabbage and shake her hands.

2. Peel the potatoes and cut lengthwise into quarters. Now, each quarter cut across in half.

3. Peel and very finely chop the onion. In a saucepan or skillet with a thick bottom, heat the 3 tbsp of butter, put the onion and fry over medium heat, stirring frequently, 10 min.

4. Add to the pan of potatoes and cabbage, mix thoroughly. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 mins, during this time, a couple of times to mix. If the mixture looks too dry, add a little boiling water.

5. Meanwhile, boil eggs, 8-9 min. Cool under running cold water, peel and roughly chop.

6. Add to the cabbage with potatoes eggs and cream, stir, and simmer for close to the full softness of cabbage and potatoes, about 10 min. Before serving, pepper, more salt if needed and sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
