20-year-old student came up with the first system cleaning the oceans, which launched in 2016

Every year the waters of the oceans gets about 8 million tons of floating debris. Rubbish harms aquatic life - larger creatures fall into the trap of the whole trash floating fields and small organisms suffer from the ingestion of particles of broken plastic. The situation becomes all the more sad. But the 20-year-old student Bojan Slet seems to have found a solution.

He and his team have developed a technology capable of just 10 years to clear debris from all the world's oceans. Editorial Website I hope that Sleta succeed, and believes that the world has finally become cleaner.

The following year the team plans to lower the water meter unit 2000 off the coast of Tsushima between Japan and South Korea. This is one of the most polluted places in the world.

The advantage of this device is that it uses sea currents for its passive operation. Inflatable units are not in any way interfere with marine life that swim safely under them, but a light litter delay centered on the water surface. Similar work on boats with nets would require about 70 thousand years!

For 5 years, planned to hold a series of trial runs, then the system will start working length of 100 kilometers, which eliminates half of the Pacific island of garbage.
