Proteins forget where to hide half of the collected nuts

Proteins are known to be a big fan of hidden reserves of nuts for the winter on numerous caches. Caroline proteins, for example, often buried in the ground nuts. The problem is that they forget where they buried almost half of its stockpile, and from uneaten nuts then grow new trees. Proteins are common, widespread in Russia, nuts raked into piles on the ground and throw the leaves and branches, which is not very useful for the hazel, because the fruits dry up and grow very rarely.

Proteins common better adapted to environmental changes than Caroline proteins and, therefore, their population grows. Unfortunately, this can lead to a reduction in oak, walnut and other deciduous forests.

Caroline squirrels live mostly in the forests, and because their habitat is disappearing slowly due to human activities, then they have to move to agricultural areas and parks and to adapt to the less wild life conditions.
