Megasamolёt K-7 (10 photos and text)
Continuing the theme of the Nazi flying saucer
K-7 - Soviet pilot multipurpose (options - bomber and heavy passenger landing) aircraft design bureau giant KA Kalinin.
Was developed in the early 1930s with original design solutions, new technologies and materials.
K-7 passed flight tests in 1933, however, due to the identified deficiencies in the design, as well as the accident at the next landing, was returned for revision.
In 1935, due to changes in the Soviet concept of aircraft design, the construction of two new models of the machine was stopped, and then all the work on the K-7 aircraft stopped.
In the Air Force and Civil Aviation K-7 has never been used. Since the first aircraft was destroyed by fire after the accident, and two modified sample were not finished, now of the design and external appearance of the K-7 can be composed only of surviving the technical documentation, pictures and memories of participants and witnesses tests.
The following is a modern reconstruction of one of the versions of the draft K-7.
