William graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University and worked as a teacher before ill. William proposed to Emma in 2009, Valentine's Day. She gladly agreed. But they decided to move the wedding in 2014, initially to buy their own homes.

William died of malignant lymphoma October 3, 11 days after the wedding.
