Competition Sony World Photography Awards (35 images)
First place in the competition Sony World Photography Awards in the category of Professional - Fine Arts - Natural History took a series of photos of Lisa Marie Williams from Australia. The pictures were taken in the world's largest wildlife hospital in Beerwah (The Sunshine Coast, the East Coast of Australia). The hospital was built with the money of the Australian states, opened in 2008 and can treat up to 10 000 animals per year.

The winner in the category of Professional - Photojournalism & Documentary - Contemporary Issues, Giulio Di Sturzo began with a report from the disaster zone in the Indian state of Bihar, where as a result of the largest in the last 50 years, the river Kosi flood affected about one million people.
