Why stuff onions?

The ingredients
  • 4 bulbs
  • 100 ml of vegetable oil
  • 160g pine nuts
  • 100g rice cereal
  • 50g raisins

  • pepper


Preparation
  1. The first step is to blanch the whole onion in salt water. Bring the water to a boil and gently lower the onion in the husk. 10 minutes will be enough.



  2. Peel the onion, don't forget to cut it a little bit from the bottom.



  3. Remove the middle carefully, leave only 3 outer layers. Knife half the layers you took out.
  4. Warm up the butter pan, pour crushed onions and pine nuts into it.



  5. After 5 minutes, add rice, raisins, lemon peel and turmeric. These ingredients must be filled with the liquid that remained after cooking the onions.



  6. Cook everything under the lid for about 15 minutes, then add salt and pepper.
  7. Beat the egg and pour it into the rice mixture. Now fill the bulbs with this stuffing.



  8. Bake onions need half an hour at a temperature of 180 degrees.
