How to harvest green onions all year round

Vertical garden is a solution that has always fascinated me! On one square meter you can put a lot more useful things than you can imagine.

A rich harvest in a short time on a very small piece of land: this plastic bottle trick promises you. Picking up the first sprouts of fresh green ray, I was so happy! I can't help but tell you about this tricky gardener...





How to grow green onions You will need
  • 1 plastic bottle with a capacity of 5 or 8 l
  • shears
  • needle
  • sprouted
  • soil
  • water


  1. Homemade onions Growing up is extremely easy! First, cut off the top of a large plastic bottle.


  2. Make holes in the bottom of the bottle with a hot needle. This is necessary to prevent excess humidity on your makeshift bed!


  3. Make side holes in a plastic bottle: it does not matter whether round or square. They should be at a distance of about 10 cm from each other.


  4. Now you can fill the bottle with soil and bulbs! Do not forget to keep the onion in water for a couple of days, it will let small green sprouts, which will later turn into a generous harvest.


  5. It is important to leave the stem outside: in fact, this is the whole subtlety of planting onions.




  6. When all the bulbs are located in their places, you can add more earth and insert the cut off top of the bottle.


  7. That's the beauty! Direct sunlight is what you need for a good harvest!
