Olga could not pass by a trembling homeless man and invited him to warm up, she had no idea what it would turn out to be.

We all have compassion. Helping homeless people is important, because this is how we can show our indifference to them. People who are less fortunate in lifethan us. This story is about the good that always returns a hundredfold to those who are pure in their intentions.

Olya was sitting in the office and dreamed of having lunch coffee. She had already done all her work and was now looking at her office clock. Unfortunately, there was a terrible frost on the street, from which even the bones shook in the morning, but I did not want to be in the office at all. Barely waiting for one o’clock in the afternoon, Olya ran to the cafe next door to relax and take a break from the working space.

The cafe was crowded, but one table by the window was free. Olya with pleasure opened the book and immersed herself in reading, drinking coffee. She's almost finished eating lunch when I saw a grandfather outside the window.. He stood at the window of a cafe, where fresh pastries were put on display. The old man could tell he was very cold.

Olga always felt a keen pity for such homeless grandfathers. A couple of years ago, her mother’s father passed away. All his life he took care of her. The mother disappeared somewhere immediately after the birth of Oli, leaving the baby in the care of her father. And now the old man awakened in the girl bitter memories of his own grandfather.

She quickly closed the book, packed up and bought a cup of hot takeaway cocoa. Together with cocoa, Olya took the largest cinnamon bun from the showcase. When she went outside, she handed it to the old man. He could not say a word in surprise, except, “Thank you, dear, it was not worth it...”

Holding back tears, Olya ran back to the office. However, all the time until the end of the work, the girl could not stop thinking about the man who is now freezing on the street under her favorite cafe. These thoughts tormented her and did not give rest. It seemed to her that her beloved grandfather was suffering in the cold. At the end of the day, she made a decision and confidently walked towards the cafeteria.

The old man was there. He was sitting on a bench next to him and looked a little more cheerful, but it was noticeable that he was very cold. His things were not dirty, but it was noticeable that they were very old. Unfortunately, the jacket was very thin, and the shoes left much to be desired. The frost only increased, and Ole was afraid even to think that he was waiting for the old man at night.

She quickly came up and asked if there was anything she could do to help. Olga knew what the answer would be and she was not wrong in her assumptions. Oleg Ivanovich (this is how his grandfather introduced himself) said that he just went for a walk and everything was fine. However, Olya saw that Grandpa clearly has nowhere to go.

Oleg Ivanovich, can I give you a drink of tea? I have such delicious tea at home. My grandfather brought it to me from India.

Grandpa agreed, though not immediately. Tears flashed in his eyes. Olya took the homeless man home, gave him tea and fed him a hot cake. While she was doing baking, Oleg Ivanovich told her a little about his life. He was once married, but his wife went to another world. The couple had no children and the man was left alone. He lived peacefully in his apartment, but recently, distant relatives of his wife appeared from somewhere and took the apartment, giving only a couple of days to leave. He was on the street in the middle of winter.

The cake, travel and kindness Olya listened, making dough for the cake, and tried not to show tears. She sat with Oleg Ivanovich almost until the night, listening to his stories about his youth. He traveled with his wife and saw many things. Oleg Ivanovich reminded Ole of her grandfather. Having laid the old man in the living room, the girl decided to leave him in her apartment. She just couldn't have done otherwise.

In the morning, Oleg Ivanovich quietly left, and Olya did not even have time to offer him to stay with her. She looked sadly at the front door, thinking about the cold outside, and was going to work. The next few days Olya tried to find the old man near the cafe, but he was not there.

On the third evening after a warm evening, the doorbell rang. Oleg Ivanovich stood on the doorstep. But he looked very different! The old man wore an expensive suit, and in his eyes there was calmness and confidence. He came in, Olya made her favorite Indian tea again. And then Oleg Ivanovich told her the rest of his story.

He was married and traveled a lot. In his travels he found himself and eventually became a successful businessman. He is now the head of a large corporation. Recently it was time to hand over the reins to someone else, but the man had no heirs. And he decided to find them in a very unusual way. That's how he met Ole.

Life Wisdom: What does this story teach us? Many people don’t believe that our actions always come back to us. She wanted to help someone who was in trouble. The horn of abundance poured on her head full of. Of course, this is not always the case. But even if the man did not turn out to be an extravagant millionaire, Olga would still be happy that she made someone’s life easier.
